Professor Oak got into contact with some collegues and we were able to get the comparitive data that we needed. We're both very pleased with the results of the project.

I'm still wondering what to explore next...

I ran out of pages in my sketchbook the other day! I'll have to get another while I'm out on errands, I don't really like how these sketches are coming out on lined paper...

The professor and I went out into the forest very early this morning, it was still dark out, but close enough to sunrise... it wasn't that difficult to see. We set up our equipment to take measurements of the electrical currents in the trees.
It turns out that the data regarding the electrical currents in the trees in Viridian Forest supported our hypothesis. It seems that the currents are much stronger in those trees than in the trees I looked up data for! It is more than likely that that could be what attracts the Pikachu to that forest, seeing as they tend to gather where electricity is strongest... but the current in a tree is still very weak... then again, the ample food supply and other resources readily available would contribute... this is very intriguing indeed!

I still don't have an actual comparison for the currents compared to Ilex Forest and Petalburg Woods however. I do have the data taken a couple of years ago, but I would prefer to take them myself, to see if anything has changed. Then again, it would be quite a venture to make, and I do enjoy assisting Professor Oak in the lab... Hm...

While we were out observing, there were quite a few Pikachu out once it got closer to the midday. I managed to get two sketches of them around lunchtime; it would have been nice to have seen more than one at a time, but that would have been dangerous, so I suppose it is a good thing.

This PokeNav system is a very good idea; it surely makes it easier to communicate, both with those I knew back home, and for my friends who are currently travelling.

How is everyone doing? I myself have found myself very busy lately at the lab, though I have found myself with a decent amount of freetime to sketch and observe. Perhaps I may place some sketches up on this network...
